Protesters storm actor Allu Arjun residence, vandalise property

West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police S M Vijay Kumar stated on Sunday that some people holding placards stormed into the residence of actor Allu Arjun in Jubilee Hills and began shouting slogans. One of the protesters climbed the compound wall and threw tomatoes onto the premises. When security staff attempted to intervene and persuade the individual to come down, a heated altercation broke out. The group then descended the wall, manhandled the security personnel, and damaged flower pots placed along the ramp. The protesters continued their sloganeering for some time before addressing media personnel waiting outside the residence. Upon receiving information about the incident, Jubilee Hills Police reached the scene and detained six individuals. Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar starrer 120 Bahadur will be released in the theatres on November 21, 2025, it was announced on Friday. Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar's Excel Entertainment, in collaboration with Amit Chandra's Trigger Happy Studios, announced the release date of their film, which is a biopic of Major Shaitan Singh Bhat and the soldiers of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment. Tabla maestro Zakir Hussain passes away at 73, confirms family

Legendary Tabla maestro Padma Vibhushan Zakir Hussain died in a hospital in San Francisco, US, his family said on Monday. He was 73.   Hussain died from complications arising out of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, the family said in a statement.   Hussain had been in hospital for the past two weeks for a heart related problem and was shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU) after his condition deteriorated.   Hussain's sister Khurshid Aulia said he passed away "very peacefully".   "He passed away very peacefully after the ventilation machine was switched off. This was 4 pm San Francisco time," she told PTI.   Regarded as the greatest tabla player of his generation, Hussain is survived by his wife Antonia Minnecola and their daughters -- Anisa Qureshi and Isabella Qureshi.   Born on March 9, 1951, he was the son of legendary tabla master Ustad Alla Rakha.   The family said in its statement, "He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy cherish...

Allu Arjun gets interim bail in Pushpa 2 premiere stampede case, victim's husband says 'want to withdraw case'

Telangana High Court on Friday granted interim bail to the Telugu actor Allu Arjun in connection with the death of a woman during a stampede at 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' premiere at Sandhya Theatre  in Hyderabad on December 4.   Earlier in the day, he was arrested by the Chikkadpally police and produced in the Nampally court which sent to a 14-day judicial custody.   In addition to Allu Arjun, the police also apprehended three others connected to the incident--M. Sandeep, one of the owners of Sandhya Theatre, senior manager M. Chandigarh Child Rights Body advises Diljit Dosanjh not to invite children on stage during show, avoid songs like Patiala Peg

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) has advised Actor-Singer Diljit Dosanjh ahead of his live show on Saturday not to invite children on stage during the show.   The advisory, issued by CCPCR Chairperson Shipra Bansal late Wednesday evening, asked Dosanjh not to invite children on stage during the show when the peak sound pressure level is above 120db, which is harmful to children.   The singer is also asked to avoid performing songs like Patiala Peg, 5 Tara, Case etc even with twisted words in which alcohol, drugs, and violence are promoted as these songs affect children of impressionable age.   The CCPCR advised that persons below the age of 25 years should not be served alcohol which is punishable under the JJ Act and other provisions of law.   A copy of the advisory has been sent to the show Promoters, Organisers, and Partners/Sponsors like Saregama, Zomato Live, and Ripple Effect Studios. from Bollywood https...

Jeddah: Bollywood blockbuster 'Devdas' should have been in contention for the prestigious Palme d'Or, according to the Cannes Film Festival artistic director Thierry Frémaux. Maha: Court asks police to register FIR against Ali Abbas Zafar for cheating and forgery

A local court had directed the Bandra Police to register an FIR against director Ali Abbas Zafar, co-producer Himanshu Mehra, and others for cheating, forgery, and defrauding producer Vashu Bhagnani of 2024 multi-starrer film Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. The case pertains to allegations made by Bhagnani, who had first filed a complaint with the Bandra Police Station against Ali Abbas Zafar, Himanshu Mehra, and others, accusing them of fraud, forgery, criminal breach of trust, cheating, and misappropriation of crores of rupees by falsifying and forging his signatures during the production of Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.As no action was taken by the police Bhagnani moved the Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate Court seeking its direction to register the FIR.
