West Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police S M Vijay Kumar stated on Sunday that some people holding placards stormed into the residence of actor Allu Arjun in Jubilee Hills and began shouting slogans.
One of the protesters climbed the compound wall and threw tomatoes onto the premises. When security staff attempted to intervene and persuade the individual to come down, a heated altercation broke out.
The group then descended the wall, manhandled the security personnel, and damaged flower pots placed along the ramp.
The protesters continued their sloganeering for some time before addressing media personnel waiting outside the residence.
Upon receiving information about the incident, Jubilee Hills Police reached the scene and detained six individuals. During interrogation, the detainees, who identified themselves as members of the OU-JAC, claimed that their protest was an attempt to urge the actor to assist the family of a victim.
A case has been registered against the six individuals and others involved in the incident. Authorities have promised strict legal action against those responsible for the unlawful behavior.
The DCP of West Zone, Hyderabad, issued a stern warning, emphasizing that such lawless acts will not be tolerated and that stringent legal measures will be taken against anyone attempting to take the law into their own hands, according to a statement released late Sunday night.(UNI)
