Chandigarh Child Rights Body advises Diljit Dosanjh not to invite children on stage during show, avoid songs like Patiala Peg

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) has advised Actor-Singer Diljit Dosanjh ahead of his live show on Saturday not to invite children on stage during the show.

The advisory, issued by CCPCR Chairperson Shipra Bansal late Wednesday evening, asked Dosanjh not to invite children on stage during the show when the peak sound pressure level is above 120db, which is harmful to children.

The singer is also asked to avoid performing songs like Patiala Peg, 5 Tara, Case etc even with twisted words in which alcohol, drugs, and violence are promoted as these songs affect children of impressionable age.

The CCPCR advised that persons below the age of 25 years should not be served alcohol which is punishable under the JJ Act and other provisions of law.

A copy of the advisory has been sent to the show Promoters, Organisers, and Partners/Sponsors like Saregama, Zomato Live, and Ripple Effect Studios.
