Deepika Padukone, Shah Rukh Khan top IMDb’s list of Most Viewed Indian Stars

New Delhi: Bollywood's Baadshah, Shah Rukh Khan, came second to his "Shanti" Deepika Padukone, as she topped IMDb’s list of the top 100 most viewed Indian stars of the last decade.   Lovingly called "DP", "Deepu", Padukone who has been in the middle of a social media storm over the last few days, as she topped the chart against her Bollywood debut hero from “Om Shanti Om” (2007).   In 2024, SRK appears to get nothing wrong as the IPL owner enjoyed a win after decade and also mega fan following from every corner of the world.   Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Alia Bhatt stood third and fourth on the list while the late Irrfan Khan is in fifth position, Aamir Khan sixth, the late Sushant Singh Rajput seventh and Salman Khan eighth.   The list is determined by the page views of the 250 million monthly visitors to IMDb worldwide, a Variety report said.   Most of the Top 20 were captured by Bollywood, while the highest placed actors from the Southwere

New Delhi: Bollywood actress and a regular at international red carpet and fashion events, Ananya Panday, is set to make her web series debut with "Call Me Bae," which is reported to be released on Amazon Prime Video in September.   The announcement of the series was made last year.   Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, and directed by Collin D'Cunha, "Call Me Bae" is a riches to rags drama series. Bengali actor Anasuya Sengupta has won the Best Actress award at the 77th Cannes Film Festival's Un Certain Regard section for fresh voices in contemporary cinema. The Kolkata-based Sengupta was bestowed the prestigious honour for her performance as a sex worker on the run for alleged murder of a policeman in 'The Shameless', a film set in India. Directed by Bulgarian filmmaker Konstantin Bujanov, 'The Shameless' was shot in Kathmandu, Nepal, last year with an Indian cast that included Sengupta and Omara Shetty. The world of cinema has welcomed the return of a half-century-old Indian film nearly lost following decades of decay.'Manthan', directed by celebrated filmmaker Shyam Benegal, received a warm applause at the 77th Cannes Film Festival, where it was screened in a section devoted to restored films on Friday. The 1976 film, which was given a fresh lease of life at L’Immagine Ritrovata Laboratory in Bologna, one of the world's finest film laboratories in Italy, and the Prasad Labs in Chennai, is part of the Cannes Classics section this year."The film was in a bad condition. The restoration was a painstaking process that took one-and-half years," said Mumbai-based filmmaker Shivendra Singh Dungarpur, whose Film Heritage Foundation, has restored 'Manthan'. In a shocking development in the Mumbai's hoarding collapse incident, two among the 16 deceased have been identified as the relatives of Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan.   The retired Air Traffic Control (ATC) manager Manoj Chansoria and his wife Anita, whose body were found inside their car on Wednesday night after 100-foot hoarding collapsed on top of a petrol pump at Ghatkopar, were actor's maternal uncle and aunt.   Chansoria had retired as a general manager of Mumbai ATC in March this year and the couple had moved to Jabalpur.   Kartik took out time from his busy schedule and attended their last rites along with his family in Sahar Cremation Ground.   Chansorias were in Mumbai for a few days to complete visa formalities for Ms Chansoria, police said.   After completing their work, the couple were heading back to Jabalpur and had stopped to refill petrol at the Ghatkopar petrol pump when the storm hit, they added.   When calls to them went unanswered, their son,
