Ananya Panday's OTT debut Call Me Bae's release OUT!

New Delhi: Bollywood actress and a regular at international red carpet and fashion events, Ananya Panday, is set to make her web series debut with "Call Me Bae," which is reported to be released on Amazon Prime Video in September.

 

The announcement of the series was made last year.

 

Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Somen Mishra, and directed by Collin D'Cunha, "Call Me Bae" is a riches to rags drama series.

The series will stream on the Prime Video from September 6.

 

"Call Me Bae", written by Ishita Moitra, Samina Motlekar and Rohit Nair, tells the story of Bae, a young woman who transforms from an heiress to a hustler following a scandal.

 

She learns that her most valuable assets are not her diamonds, but her street smartness and style.

 

Ananya as Bela Chowdhary, gets broke but refuses to be broken as she navigates Mumbai's newsrooms finding beaus and sisterhood before attaining her true self.

 

The ensemble cast also includes Vir Das, Varun Sood, Vihaan Samat, Gurfateh Pirzada, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, Lisa Mishra, and Mini Mathur.

Accused in firing outside Salman Khan's house case wants to turn approver

Mumbai: A person facing MCOCA charges in connection with the firing outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence in Bandra suburbs here has expressed his desire to turn approver in the case, sources in the Mumbai Crime Branch said.   Without disclosing the identity of the accused, the sources said that one of those arrested in the April 14 shooting case and facing charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has express his desire to be an approver and necessary procedure prescribed under the law has been set into motion.   As per procedure, the probe agency will first record the accused's confession before a high ranking officer not part of the ongoing investigation, and later the same will be recorded before a magistrate, the sources added.   The confessional statement will be the part of evidence and it will be used against him as well as other accused facing charges, they said.   On Monday, three accused arrested in the case were sent
