Bollywood's Baadshah and Bhaijaan have appealed to Mumbai voters to ensure they vote on Monday when the city and suburban districts will be among the 13 seats voting in the fifth and final phase of Lok Sabha elections in Maharashtra.
Shah Rukh Khan took to X account to announce: "As responsible Indian citizens, we must exercise our right to vote this Monday in Maharashtra. Let’s carry out our duty as Indians and vote, keeping our country’s best interests in mind. Go forth and promote our right to vote."
So did, Salman Khan who urged his followers: "I exercise 365 days a year no matter what, and now I’m going to exercise my right to vote on the 20th of May no matter what. So do whatever you want to do, man, but go and vote and don’t trouble your Bharat Mata. Bharat Mata ki Jai."
Other Bollywood celebrities, including Sidharth Malhotra, Karan Johar, and Ranbir Kapoor, have also made public appeals. In a video posted by Johar on Instagram, these actors emphasised the importance of voting in the Lok Sabha elections, using the hashtag "#VoteWhereItMatters."Their messages aim to remind citizens of their responsibility as Indian nationals to vote and contribute to the democratic process.
