VIDEO: Fans sacrifice goat ahead of Devara screening; actress Vedika says, ‘horrific’

Jr.NTR-starrer 'Devara' premiered today (September 27) with special morning shows and enthusiastic fan celebrations. Now, a video of a violent celebration of fans sacrificing a goat before the first day first show of their favorite actor’s new release is going viral on the social media.
 
The viral footage shows one individual holding the goat by its head and another holding the legs, while a third individual gruesomely chops off its head.

The blood from the sacrifice is then poured over a poster for the film Devara Part: 1.


 
Netizens are condemning this wild celebration of the fans. Popular actress Vedhika has also reacted on the video and wrote on X:
 
“this is horrific!!! Stop!!! My hearts bleeds for the poor innocent child. No one deserves this…so much torture and trauma !! How on earth can u harm an innocent voiceless being ??? this should never ever happen to any other being ever. I pray for this poor child’s soul. Rest in Gods arms sweet child. Sorry we failed you, I hope no more animals will be sacrificed in the name of fandom. No one is going to appreciate this kind of violence so pls stop!!!!!” The actress also tagged Peta India and PFA India.

Accused in firing outside Salman Khan's house case wants to turn approver

Mumbai: A person facing MCOCA charges in connection with the firing outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence in Bandra suburbs here has expressed his desire to turn approver in the case, sources in the Mumbai Crime Branch said.   Without disclosing the identity of the accused, the sources said that one of those arrested in the April 14 shooting case and facing charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has express his desire to be an approver and necessary procedure prescribed under the law has been set into motion.   As per procedure, the probe agency will first record the accused's confession before a high ranking officer not part of the ongoing investigation, and later the same will be recorded before a magistrate, the sources added.   The confessional statement will be the part of evidence and it will be used against him as well as other accused facing charges, they said.   On Monday, three accused arrested in the case were sent
