Scarlett Johansson confirmed for next Jurassic World movie

New Delhi: Scarlett Johansson has officially announced her involvement in the upcoming Jurassic World film, confirming longstanding rumours about her participation.

 

The actress, widely recognised for her role as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, expressed her excitement and longstanding desire to be part of the franchise.

 

According to a gamespot.com report, the new film, currently untitled, will be directed by Gareth Edwards, known for his work on "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story".

 

The story is penned by David Koepp, one of the original screenwriters of Jurassic Park, who returns to the franchise after nearly three decades. Johansson was particularly enthusiastic about the script and Koepp's contributions, the gamespot.com report said.

 

"The script is so incredible," Johansson remarked. "David Koepp wrote it. He returned after like 30 years to write the script. He's so passionate about it, which is so awesome."

 

Johansson will be joined by a diverse cast including Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Jonathan Bailey, and Rupert Friend.

 

The film is currently in production and is scheduled for release on July 2, 2025.

Accused in firing outside Salman Khan's house case wants to turn approver

Mumbai: A person facing MCOCA charges in connection with the firing outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence in Bandra suburbs here has expressed his desire to turn approver in the case, sources in the Mumbai Crime Branch said.   Without disclosing the identity of the accused, the sources said that one of those arrested in the April 14 shooting case and facing charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has express his desire to be an approver and necessary procedure prescribed under the law has been set into motion.   As per procedure, the probe agency will first record the accused's confession before a high ranking officer not part of the ongoing investigation, and later the same will be recorded before a magistrate, the sources added.   The confessional statement will be the part of evidence and it will be used against him as well as other accused facing charges, they said.   On Monday, three accused arrested in the case were sent
