Bigg Boss 17: Not Munawar Faruqui, THIS contestant gets highest amount despite losing trophy

The winner of popular reality show 'Bigg Boss Season 17' has finally been announced. Famous standup comedian Munawar Faruqui won the show, hosted by Salman Khan.

Munawar defeated actors Ankita Lokhande, Mannara Chopra, Abhishek Kumar and popular Hyderabadi YouTuber Arun Mashetty to lift the trophy.

The comedian took home a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh and a new Creta from Hyundai after winning the controversial TV reality show.

Munawar reportedly charged Rs 7 to 8 Lakh per week, so his total fees turned out to be Rs 1.2 crore. So, after winning the trophy, Munawar earned an impressive total of 1.7 crore.

However, actress Ankita Lokhande reportedly took home Rs 1.8 crore despite losing the show. The Pavitra Rishta actress charged Rs 12 lakh per week for the popular reality show, as per reports.

Abhishek Kumar becomes the first runner-up, while Mannara Chopra is the second runner-up of the just concluded show. Ankita was at fourth spot and Arun Mashetty finished at fifth position.

Accused in firing outside Salman Khan's house case wants to turn approver

Mumbai: A person facing MCOCA charges in connection with the firing outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence in Bandra suburbs here has expressed his desire to turn approver in the case, sources in the Mumbai Crime Branch said. Without disclosing the identity of the accused, the sources said that one of those arrested in the April 14 shooting case and facing charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has express his desire to be an approver and necessary procedure prescribed under the law has been set into motion. As per procedure, the probe agency will first record the accused's confession before a high ranking officer not part of the ongoing investigation, and later the same will be recorded before a magistrate, the sources added.
