New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered legendary actor Dev Anand on his 100th birth anniversary on Tuesday.
Taking to X (formerly twitter), Modi said 'Dev Anand Ji is remembered as an 'evergreen icon'. His flair for storytelling and passion for cinema were unmatched.
His films not only entertained but also reflected the changing society and aspirations of India.
Dev Anand's timeless performances continue to influence generations'. Remembering him on his 100th birth anniversary', the PM said.
Modi also posted pictures of the actor and director Dev Anand on X.

Dev Anand died of a heart attack in London on December 3, 2011.
Dev Anand is considered as one of the greatest and most successful actors in the history of Indian cinema.Through a career that spanned over six decades, he worked in more than 100 films. Anand is a recipient of four Filmfare Awards, including two for Best Actor.
The Government of India honored him with Padma Bhushan, Indian third highest civilian honour in 2001 and with Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2002. (UNI)
