India's Best Dancer Season 3: Meet the top 5 finalists

New Delhi: India's Best Dancer 3, a Sony Entertainment Television original format, has honoured exceptional talent with spectacular moves who have proven their mettle in this fierce competition, staying true to its theme this season of #HarMoveSeKarengeProve.

The judges’ panel consists of Sonali Bendre, Geeta Kapur, and Terence Lewis.

The reality dance competition has now identified its "Top 5" finalists, including Aniket Chauhan and choreographer Kartik Raja, Anjali Mamgai and choreographer Akash Thapa, Samarpan Lama and choreographer Bhawana Khanduja, Vipul Khandpal and choreographer Pankaj Thapa, and Shivanshu Soni and choreographer Vivek.

Aniket Chauhan from Delhi, who is known as the "Charlie Chaplin of India's Best Dancer 3," earned himself the top spot in the "Behtareen Teerah" and has since repeatedly left everyone in awe of his talent.

Aniket reflected on his trip, saying, "India's Best Dancer 3 has been an emotional roller coaster for me.

The only unskilled dancer to reach the top 12 was myself.

The competition has been fierce, but I've worked hard to distinguish myself daily.

My Gurukul has been in this program, which has allowed me to practice both acting and dancing.”

Vipul Khandpal, a freestyle dancer from Delhi was one of the final candidates chosen for "Behtareen Teerah," but there were some doubts as to whether he would fit in well with the program.

Vipul, on the other hand, has been a force to be reckoned with because he dazzled everyone with his techniques right away.

Speaking about his experience, he said, "I was the final competitor to be chosen by the judges in Behtareen 13, and it gives me great joy to know that Terence Sir is pleased to see me in the top 5 and has appreciated my work.

Having celebrities like Nushratt Barucha and Tony Kakkar acknowledge my work and dancing as a background dancer and assistant choreographer has been a major accomplishment for me so far on this show.

I will always be grateful for the chance India's Best Dancer 3 gave me to learn and develop as a dancer.”

The ‘Sher Baccha’ of IBD3’, Anjali Mamgai from Uttarakhand, has been an inspiration to many as she has been supporting her family since the age of 13, while also following her passion for dance.

Expressing her excitement of making it to the Top 5, she shared, "India’s Best Dancer 3 has been a series of ups and downs for me. When the Behtareen 13 were selected, I learnt that Vipul Kandpal and I were the last two contestants to make the cut. Since then, there's been a fire within me to prove myself and make the judges proud.”

“Today, being part of the top 5 is an overwhelming feeling. I am the only female contestant in the top 5 this season, which is a significant achievement in itself. IBD has become more than just a show; it's like a family. I hope to win and make everybody proud,” added Anjali.

Shivanshu Soni of Madhya Pradesh, who is renowned for his flawless classical dancing technique and elegant gestures, has too maneuvered his way into the "Top 5."

He remarked, "Being a male classical dancer, I was often told that this dance form is for ladies.

But Kathak has destroyed many prejudices on this stage.

I was given the chance to prove that classical dance is not just for ladies through India's Best Dancer 3.

Being in the top 5 seems like a dream come true, and hearing the judges praise my dance makes me tremendously happy.

An award in and of itself is Terence Sir's invitation to the International Dance Festival. May the best dancer, male or female, win the competition.”

Samarpan Lama from Pune, also known as the "cutie minister," is a complete beginner when it comes to dancing and has learned the skill by observing dance reality programs.

Samarpan has demonstrated why he deserves to be in the Top 5, from winning the judges' hearts during the audition phase to some outstanding performances in the show that made everyone smile.

He shared, "This still feels unreal; I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the audience and the judges. Their advice and thoughts have been really helpful in guiding my journey.

And I'm grateful to the program for giving dancers like myself a chance to share our talent with the world.

I'm also thrilled for my other competitors who have advanced to the grand finale." (UNI)
