Guess why Kashmira Pardeshi was asked not to read the book 'Ticket to Syria'

New Delhi: Disney+Hotstar is releasing a new series called ‘The Freelancer’, which is based on the book ‘A Ticket to Syria’.

 

The story follows a man on a mission to extract a young girl from a war-torn and dangerous environment in Syria.

 

The series is set to premiere on September 1, 2023, and stars Mohit Raina, Anupam Kher, and Kashmira Pardeshi, among others.

 

Kashmira Pardeshi reveals that preparing for her complex character, Aliya, required more than just script work and rehearsals.

 

She explains her process and how she fully immersed herself in the role.

She was initially asked not to read the book but believes that a well-written script will provide all the necessary information for an actor.

 

To understand the character better, she watched documentaries about families who have experienced similar situations and read about real-life stories, such as Sushmita Banerjee’s and Malala’s, which were inspiring to her. (UNI)

Accused in firing outside Salman Khan's house case wants to turn approver

Mumbai: A person facing MCOCA charges in connection with the firing outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence in Bandra suburbs here has expressed his desire to turn approver in the case, sources in the Mumbai Crime Branch said.   Without disclosing the identity of the accused, the sources said that one of those arrested in the April 14 shooting case and facing charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has express his desire to be an approver and necessary procedure prescribed under the law has been set into motion.   As per procedure, the probe agency will first record the accused's confession before a high ranking officer not part of the ongoing investigation, and later the same will be recorded before a magistrate, the sources added.   The confessional statement will be the part of evidence and it will be used against him as well as other accused facing charges, they said.   On Monday, three accused arrested in the cas...
