Adipurush co-writer Manoj Muntashir Shukla received a security cover from Mumbai Police after he cited a threat to his life.
The police have intensified patrolling near Shukla's office and adequate security is also being provided at his residence.
Directed by Om Raut, the big-budget Adipurush is receiving flak on social media over its poor VFX and Lord Hanuman's dialogues in the 'Lanka dahan' sequence.
Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole has demanded a ban on the film 'Adipurush', alleging it has insulted Lord Ram and Hanuman.
"Those who have insulted Lord Ram and Hanuman should apologise to the public. The film should be banned," he said.
Lambasting the BJP, he said the saffron party loudly claims that it is running a pro-Hindutva government at the centre, but when there is a movie that insults Lord Ram and Hanuman, the saffron party keeps mum.
The character of Hanuman utters slang in the film. "How was this film cleared, was the censor board sleeping?" he asked.
However, the makers on Sunday announced that they have decided to make alterations to the film’s dialogues, valuing the inputs of the public and the audience, making this visual spectacle a memorable cinematic experience.
“The makers are revisiting certain dialogues, ensuring to resonate with core essence of the film, and the same will reflect in the theaters in the next few days. This decision is a testament that in spite of unstoppable collections at the Box Office, the team is committed and nothing is beyond the sentiments of their audiences and harmony at large,” the team said in a statement.
