Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey commits suicide

Varanasi: Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey committed suicide at a hotel in Sarnath police station area, police said on Sunday.

 

Her body was found hanging with a cloth from a ceiling fan on Sunday morning at Somendra hotel in Sarnath area, hotel staff informed police after which police took the body under custody and began its investigation.

 

Born in 1996 at her native place of Parisipur under Chauri police station of Bhadohi district. She shifted with her parents to Mumbai at the age of three.

 

She came to stay in the Somendra hotel on Saturday night.

 

ACP Sarnath took her mobile phone and other items under custody, and her call details were also being checked. Till now no suicide note was found in her room. Police was trying to find out the reason of her suicide.

 

She started her career with tik tok and Instagram while uploading her short videos of dance and acting. She began to have a huge fan following on the social media platform. She had worked in Bhojpuri films 'Vero ke veer' and "Kasam Paida karne wale 2".She also had shooted in many bhojpuri songs.

 

Her family members have been informed and her body has been kept for postmortem, police said. (UNI)

Accused in firing outside Salman Khan's house case wants to turn approver

Mumbai: A person facing MCOCA charges in connection with the firing outside Bollywood superstar Salman Khan's residence in Bandra suburbs here has expressed his desire to turn approver in the case, sources in the Mumbai Crime Branch said.   Without disclosing the identity of the accused, the sources said that one of those arrested in the April 14 shooting case and facing charges under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) has express his desire to be an approver and necessary procedure prescribed under the law has been set into motion.   As per procedure, the probe agency will first record the accused's confession before a high ranking officer not part of the ongoing investigation, and later the same will be recorded before a magistrate, the sources added.   The confessional statement will be the part of evidence and it will be used against him as well as other accused facing charges, they said.   On Monday, three accused arrested in the case were sent
