After Aryan trouble mounts for Shahrukh, NCB searches "Mannat"

Mumbai : Different teams of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) comprising dozens of officials on Thursday afternoon conducted searches at Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s Bandra residence ‘Mannat’ as well as at actress Ananya Pandey's Khar residence. Sources in the department confirmed it and said that multiple NCB teams carried out the searches in Andheri area of Mumbai, acting on a lead from one of the accused in the Mumbai cruise drugs bust case. Ananya, is the daughter of actor Chunky Pandey, and is a close friend of Shah Rukh's daughter Suhana.Sources said fresh evidence have been collected. The move came on the day Shah Rukh met his son Aryan, who has been in custody since October 3. The superstar visited the Arthur Road Jail earlier just hours ahead of the 23-year-old's bail plea hearing at the Bombay High Court. Mumbai Court rejects Aryan Khan's bail plea in cruise drugs bust case

Mumbai : A Special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Court on Wednesday rejected the bail applications of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, and his two friends Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha, in the cruise bust drug case, and extended their judicial custody. All three are in judicial custody. While Aryan Khan and Merchant are lodged in the Arthur Road Jail in Mumbai, Dhamecha is lodged at the Byculla prison for women. Judge VV Patil who reserved the order earlier with the NCB opposing the plea while saying that Aryan was a regular consumer of drugs and there were evidence corroborating the same for the last few years. The prosecution reiterated the charge of conspiracy against Aryan is based on his WhatsApp chats. Based on a tip-off that a rave party was scheduled on the ship, a team of Narcotic Control Bureau team raided the Goa-bound Cordelia cruise on October 2 evening and allegedly seized drugs. It was one rocking day in Ahmedabad for Taapsee Pannu, Priyanshu Painyuli and Abhishek Banerjee as they visited the city to promote the ZEE5 Original movie, ‘Rashmi Rocket’. Aryan Khan to remain in jail till Oct 20 as court reserves order on bail plea

Mumbai: A Special Court in Mumbai on Thursday reserved its order on a bail plea moved by cruise drug bust case accused Aryan Khan and others till October 20 after two days of back to back hearing.   Aryan will remain in normal barracks along with other undertrials at the Arthur Road Jail in connection with the alleged seizure of banned drugs from a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on October 2/3.   Aryan was moved from the quarantine centre inside the jail premises to normal barracks earlier in the day just ahead of the hearing resumed.   Special NDPS court Judge V.V. Patil reserved the order after the prosecution and defence both concluded their lengthy two days arguments.   The prosecution opposed the plea on the grounds that though no drug was sized from Aryan but he was in touch with the peddler and he himself is an addict.   The defence urged the court to grant bail to the 23-year-old as no drug was found from his possession when he was arrested during the raid on Octo

Nora Fatehi appears before ED in 200 crore money laundering case

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Nora Fatehi on Thursday reached the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office in Delhi to record her statement in connection with a money laundering case.   Sources said, she was summoned by the agency in a probe related to conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar case. The investigation is being done in an alleged Rs 200 crore money laundering case.   The ED has issued summons to two actresses Nora Fatehi and Jacqueline Fernandez to appear before the agency in connection with the case.   Fernandez has been asked to appear on Friday for the questioning.   The agency is investigating into the possibility whether the money was invested abroad and it was led by Sukesh Chandrashekar, the accused in a bribery matter including the Election Commission.   They had raided Sukesh and his wife’s house earlier.
